RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Do you accept returns and exchanges on all products?

General

Swimwear bottoms and one-pieces are a final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded due to sanitary reasons. When it comes to swimwear, sanitation is a very important factor to take into consideration, which is why our return and exchange policy is limited to swimwear tops only. Please be sure to consult our size guide before making a purchase.

Sale items

All purchases made during a sale, including those made with discount codes, are final and non-refundable. Please exercise caution when buying discounted items, as we do not permit returns, exchanges, or refunds for these products.

How do I exchange or return a product?

Exchange Steps

Violet & Scout will accept exchanges of products within 30 days of purchase if the garment is in the original condition, unworn and with all labels and tags attached.

  • Step 1: Contact info@violetandscout.co.za to request an exchange
  • Step 2: Goods to be returned at own courier arrangement and cost
  • Step 3: Once your return is received, your new item will be sent to you at your own cost

Return Steps

Violet & Scout will accept returns of full price products within 30 days of purchase if the garment is in the original condition, unworn and with all labels and tags attached.

  • Step 3: Once your return is received and we are satisfied that it is in it's original condition, we will refund you with a store credit

PLEASE NOTE: Refunds are in the form of a store credit / online voucher. This will be sent to the email address through which you contacted us. Online gift voucher codes can be applied at checkout on the purchase of new items (it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the voucher code is applied upon checkout before order payment).

What are the return and exchange criteria?

Returned items must be in their original condition, unused, in the original packaging, with tags intact and no signs of wear or washing. Violet & Scout reserve the right to decline any items returned to us that do not adhere to these criteria.

Kindly allow a processing time of up to one week for return requests, and ensure that you use a tracked shipping method for returning the items. Please note that Violet & Scout is not liable for lost or stolen return packages. Customers are responsible for purchasing and arranging the return shipping. Additionally, shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.

SHIPPING

Do you ship internationally? 

Heck yes we do!

International shipments are handled by DHL. Upon checking out, enter your delivery address and the shipping cost will be calculated.

NOTE: The customer is responsible for all taxes and duties that the package attracts when entering the destination country. Violet and Scout cannot be liable for any additional costs that the package might incur.

How long does international delivery take?

Delivery will take place within the following timeframes:

  • Delivery within 3 - 14 business days depending on your location.
  • Please allow 2 - 5 business days for order processing. All orders outside of South Africa exclude duties, taxes and customs fees, please note if you live in a remote area you will be responsible for any additional charges.

Delays may occur as a result of customs clearance or availability on air freight planes.

How long does local delivery take?

Your order will be processed within (24) business hours of Violet & Scout receiving receipt of payment and/or payment confirmation.

Delivery will take place within the following timeframes:

  • Pretoria, Cape Town and other major city centres - 2 to 4 business days
  • Outlying Areas - 3 to 5 business days

Violet & Scout makes use of Pudo locker to door services (powered by The Courier Guy. Pudo delivers straight to your door, enter your delivery address in the shipping details. For more information click here.

Waybill details will be sent via email to the purchaser on the day of the parcel deposit. Tracking on all orders will be provided by Violet & Scout through The Courier Guy’s website.

Do you have a pick-up option for online orders?

No, we do not have a pick-up option at the moment.

General questions

Will you be restocking previous products or ranges?

We produce limited quantities of each garment, ensuring an exclusive feel and the assurance that every other lady on the beach won't be seen in the same piece. 

We, therefore, rarely ever restock products or ranges. If the demand is high, we will consider a restock. The best way to find out about these restocks is through our social media channels. Follow us on Instagram @violetandscoutswim

If I am certain size at other large swimwear brands, what size will I be at Violet & Scout?

Our sizing aligns with that of most major international brands. Our top recommendation is to choose the size you would typically wear from major international brands.
